Indigenous practices for management of epilepsy by traditional healers in South Africa

Objective : to determine the indigenous practices that are used manage epilepsy in South Africa rural communities. Material and methods . A qualitative, ethnographic technique was exploratory descriptive used. Purposive snowball sampling were select a group of 17 traditional healers for in-depth interviews at their homes. The data analysed through open coding analysis method. Results. had different perspectives on origins treatment plans based knowledge disease training. They plants alternative measures, even though western medicine still healers’ status communities acceptable modalities preferred. Conclusion.
